Primitive Camping

The park has a lot of primitive camp sites. You will need a reservation 48 hours prior to arrival in order to camp. Please call 812-338-3846 for your reservation. All reservations are timed from the time of that call. You must arrive between the hours of 8:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time and before 8:30PM Eastern Daylight time.
Firewood is furnished free for all camping. Firepits are already made but you may bring a grill if you prefer . Keep in mind that there are times that the making of any fire may be prohibited due to dry weather.
When you arrive with a reservation proceed into the park and choose your spot in either Camp Granada, or Camp Timberlake. (Camp Run-A-Muck will open sometime in 2007). Unless the area is marked as reserved for a group you may go ahead with your setup without checking with anyone. A park attendant will come around and verify your reservation and provide you with a copy of the park procedures. The attendant will find you.
Port-a-potties are scattered throughout the park but modern restrooms and showers are available.
